So I traveled much further than I usually do for a design today. I drove to Green River, Wyoming, which I had never been to before. Not to offend anyone from Wyoming but I wasn't expecting much in the way of beauty. Luckily I was pleasantly surprised by several things, including how beautiful it was.
I will have to use a slightly different plant pallet than I am used to as the winter is much colder and longer than in Salt Lake City. The owners love Jackson Hole, Wyoming with its log cabin style and the way that it borrows views from the surrounding landscape. I hope to give them there own little Jackson right in there backyard.
The front has a pretty steep slope to it and if it was left this way it would be pretty difficult to mow. So to break up the slope a rock retaining wall will be installed with turf grass on the top portion and a large planter bed below it.
The backyard is pretty sizable and will include a deck, patio, vegetable garden, and a fire pit with built in seating around it.
I'm really excited for this design! It should be great fun! I will make sure to update the blog with posts as this design progresses.

Sounds like a fun project! I can't wait to see the after.
